3PINT and related innovative technologies as permanent solution to mitigate corrosive sulphur in power transformers

ABSTRACT:

Focus of 3PINT project is to upgrade readiness level of the innovative technology for the removal of corrosive sulphur, PCB and aging product from transformer oils. Technology itself includes chemical conversion process to refine transformer oils in eco-frendly manner. Used technology is environmentally closed with no toxic emissions and waste released into environment. In addition, innovative solution for corroded silver-plated contacts cleaning, effectively removes silver sulphide deposits from OLTC contacts, ensuring long-term reliability and complete power transformer corrosive sulphur mitigation.

Biography of the presenter

Neda Kovačević, M.Sc. obtained her M.Sc. degree in 2010 in Chemical Engineering from the University of Belgrade, Serbia, currently pursuing Ph.D. She is an expert associate engineer in the Laboratory for Insulating Oil and Paper Testing, Department of Electrical Measurements, Nikola Tesla Electrical Engineering Institute. She is engaged in oil analysis (gas and liquid chromatography, testing of phisical, chemical and electrical properties of insulating oils) and diagnostics. Also, as decontamination process/ removal of corrosive sulfur compounds leading engineer she is engaged for monitoring of process at site and take measurements during the on-site process. Neda was the author and co-author of several published scientific papers and a participant in several projects related to the treatment of insulating oils.
